Sometime this week, or early next week the Hydro74 Moleskins & Sketchbooks will be getting dropped at my office. This is a very small print run for both. If you are interested, check out the Legacy of Defeat Store for details.

Hydro74 recently had the pleasure of working on some art for the 1/1 , Ladainian “LT” Tomlinson x Nike Innovative Kitchen Air Force 1. They turned out fantastic. While doing some minor shopping over at Target this past week, I noticed the new Idog Amp’d is out. I had the pleasure of working with Tiger Electronics at Hasbro on some deco for these. This past year I’ve helped Hasbro with defining the logo for Power Tour Guitar, Mighty Muggs Typography, Deco for My Little Ponies, Controllers for Transformers & various things for Littlest Pet Shop. One of the projects that I’ve enjoyed a lot was working with the licensing department on Nerf, Transformers and a couple hush hush projects that are on deck. So yeah, I do more than skulls!! (inside joke)

With many requests from clients and possible clients, I have gathered up my first PDF Look Book for download. This is a selection of recent & semi-recent pieces within Typography, Illustration & Apparel. Most who visit Hydro74 often have probably seen this work. Today, the 9th of April is my birthday. So as part of the celebration, here are some vector files for you to use and abuse. These files are no longer up, Thank you for the kind response and birthday wishes!!.

The Hydro74 vs the Samurai (Samurai of Death) Shirt is now available. Limited stock is available. Each shirt is on a light Alternative Apparel Vintage blend. The ink is a gray water-based ink with a inside logo hit. Right now I’m in process of developing the PURCHASE section with links to available product as well as design resources. In the mean time, you can check out Legacy of Defeat and see what is available from Hydro74.

If anyone is around this weekend in Tampa or St. Petersburg, Pale Horse is throwing a gallery show with free booze. I’ll be attending and kicking it with Chris Parks. Some nice pieces from Rob Schwager, Red Labor, Bask, Troy White & Brandon Dunlap will be there as well. Check out Pale Horse for information.

First and foremost, I am not a web designer so there might be bugs or not as high tech as it could be. With that said, things have been busy with Hydro74 as I enter 2008. At the beginning of the year I was able to meet up with clients over at ASR & SIA as well as friends who I’ve worked with for a number of years. Many hints of possible projects are planned for the year as well as the montly attack. Couple of the more exciting projects that Hydro74 & Team Hydro74 will be attacking is seasonal directions for Dragon Alliance, K2 Snowboards, Quiksilver & Burton. There area also talks with Levi’s in the UK about a Hydro74 vs. Levi’s shirt set, as well as some pieces for Tribal Gear. There is also a major project for Nike that is underway that is pretty exciting.

Overall, a lot of great things are getting lined and giving me a chance to explore some illustration styles and layout styles I haven’t had the opportunity to explore in the past. With that said, there isn’t too much new work that I can post yet due to contract agreements, however I will try to add what I can and when I can. A good spot to see the inner workings a little bit is the blog if you haven’t already checked it out.

Over at Pale Horse, Chris Parks is throwing a gallery show that is featuring some local talent as well as over seas. I was invited to be part of this show, thus decided to develop a piece. In the mean time, since I was already getting one print done, I might as well get some others done and do a new shirt for the 2008 year. I am very excited for these because they turned out great. Check out Legacy of Defeat to order any of the prints or the shirt.

There will be another print coming in March that I am excited to produce. My goal is to produce at least something each month so I can take a moment to just enjoy what I love doing most, illustration. Keep you eyes posted on Legacy of Defeat for ordering details.
