This weekend I decided to go nuts on exploring some paste ups (otherwise known as wheat pasting) on some boards. Wanted to explore mixing it with various spray paint, acrylic paints and some wallpaper paste to see what I could come up with. Over all, I did up 8 different pieces. A few are unfinished and still need some attention, but over all, I am super excited about playing with this process. I plan on doing a couple each weekend to see what I can come up with. More than likely I’ll be donating a few to Sea No Evil show and a few other things lined up. If you are interested in on, just drop me a line.

I really haven’t done any wheatpasting before, well, this is more wall paper glue, but still. So I figured I would take a stab at it for the upcoming Sea No Evil Show in Riverside California. These are print on a thick compressed wood board 18 inches by 24 inches. Mostly a mixture of glue, spray paint, and prints. Once done, I’ll order some really nice frames for them and see if that helps sexy them up. However, these pieces are really testers, so once I fine tune my desired effect, I’ll post better photos.
I will probably do a couple of my standard screen prints up in this fashion. Maybe tear them up a little and end explore this technique a little more.
Okay, really? This getting old and it’s not shocking either that it’s from Thailand. Pathetic. After a while, this makes me want to book a flight and go punch someone. The shitty company is called Emperor Eternity, I actually contacted the guy selling the shirts and his response “you should water-mark your artwork”. So feel free to email him all you want. Maybe next time he won’t order from that lame company.

Here is Mixtape 23 in all it’s glory. This time around I’m exploring some different transitions and trying to make the mix a tad more interesting. Meh.. However I dig it. Some rough edges, but it’s all good.
